According to Gregor Wright, Mary Ann's birth name can be rendered one of several different ways; MaDole being one of them:
Anthony (he's 99% referred to as Anthony, but one old record showed him as Andrew) Wright's (b. 1822) poor relief records and death records, as well as those of his siblings, show his father as George Wright, small farmer from Co Monaghan (no town ever mentioned) and mother as Mary Madill (or McDill or Madole). I have never found proof of Anthony's birth in Monaghan with certainty.
This is interesting because an aunt of husband George's is thought to have married a McDole/Doyle.
