Mary Catherine Harman Wynn (Feb 6, 1916 - July 10, 1998)

Mary was born in Winslow, Arizona to Owen Harman, son of Solomon E. Harman, Jr. WV/WV/VA & Sarah Catherine (Harper) Harman (1853 Circleville, Pendleton, WV - 1896 LV, NM) WV/WV/WV (m. Jan 18, 1872, Pendleton, WV) & Maxie Boone (Dykeman) Harman.

She had three brothers and two sisters. Her sister, Maxene N. "Minnie" Harman (1912-1999) (Mrs. Raymond Francis Reynolds), was the mother of actress Debbie Reynolds. Maxene died in North Hollywood, California.

On the April 11, 1930 Census, 815 San Marcial Street, El Paso, Texas, Mary, Maxene & her husband, Raymond, were living with Mary & Maxene's parents and her paternal grandfather: Owen Harman 46, married age 25 (b. 1884), Railroad Machinist Maxie Harman 40, married age 20 (b. 1910) MARY CATHERINE (Maria K) HARMAN 14 (b. 1916) Owen Dykeman Harman (1923-1992) 6 Patrick Harper Harman 4 (1926-1944) Wallace I. Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona - May 1959:

"NOTICE OF SALE - NOTICE is hereby given that DUVALL JOSEPH PUTHUFF and GRACE PUTHUFF, husband and wife, will on the 1st day of June, 1959, sell more than seventy-five percent (75%) of their stock in trade, and not in the regular course of business, in what is known as THE ELBOW ROOM, located at 3218 East Santa Fe Street, Flagstaff, Arizona, to:

C. M. WYNN and MARY WYNN, husband and wife.

All persons having claims against THE ELBOW ROOM and DUVALL JOSEPH PUTHUFF and GRACE PUTHUFF are directed to present them at the office of MANGUM AND CHRISTENSEN, 18 East Birch Ave., Flagstaff, Arizona, on or before June 1, 1959."

Every Sunday while they lived in Flagstaff and while Clovis and Mary owned the Elbow Room, Ninafae (Poe) and Oliver Koontz would go there with their children for the afternoon.

Located across the street from The Elbow Room was Archie Gilliland's EXXON Service Station (A U-Haul Dealer), 3200 E. Santa Fe Avenue (aka 3200 E. Route 66), Flagstaff, AZ.

Mary and her husband were buried in McCamant-McCauley Family Cemetery at "Boot Hill" on West Chevelon Canyon, south of Winslow, Arizona and Holbrook, Arizona near McLaws Road.

On 1900 Census, Mary's father and his brother, Harper C-1 (Rebecca C-5)Harman (black hair, brown eyes, medium build, tall) were living with their widowed father, Solomon Harman. In 1940, Harper 52 KS/WV/WV, Roundhouse Foreman, Railroad Shop, is in Winslow with his wife, Rebecca McKenzie Harman (55 KS/Scotland/OH) and daughter, Mildred Margaret Harman (24) C-5. Younger daughter, Martha Harmon Major, on 1930 Census with them in Winslow (single Student Nurse in Albuquerque, NM, in 1940).
