All of Matilda's children were born in Coosa Co., AL except the first two. It is believed that Thomas Street Mizell was born in Bibb Co., AL and Wiliam Wallis Mizell in Talladega Co., AL. A few years after their marriage, Gliston and Matilda apparently moved to Talladega Co., AL, then to Coosa Co., AL. The family farm of Gliston W. Mizell was located south of the town of Goodwater. Matilda was an active member of the Socopatoy Presbyterian Church even during her later years in life. Attempts to locate the grave site of Gliston and/or Matilda have not meet with success. Many of the old graves in Coosa County are marked by nothing more than large stone slabs placed over the grave sites. Gliston died 1853;Matilda died after 1880 (she never remarried). Note the use of the given names Floyd and Robert Augustus - ??more evidence of a possible connection to Floyd Crockett and Robert Augustus Crockett of Georgia.
