I am an Australian living in San Luis Obispo California. My mothers maiden

name was Oakes and the family settled in Australia in 1810 when my

gggrandfather Major Henry Oakes came from India. I have not researched

Hampshire before now.

Mathew OAKES Portsea RN Victualer had the following children

descendents. Family with second wife is Middle Branch Oakes Family Married
