Mattie Fair Presley

We called her Ma Matt and most of her freinds called her Matt or Mattie//She was a very kind person and loved her grandchildren//Ma Matt always kept egg laying hens and would trade her eggs at Tom Wilkies store in Fletcher//I being the oldest grandson would be assigned the chore of walking to Fletcher with a note to Mr. Tom on what we needed coffee,snuff,flour,cornmeal etc.Ma Mat was a Gosnell born on Bearwallow Mtn Edneyville NC// She had 3 sisters Angie/Minnie/Elsie/ they were all born in November and we kids looked forward to the goose dinner//Her, Angie and Minnie were all married to Presley's and were known to be the Goose sisters//from family name Gosnell//It was an event that all of kids looked forward to//Billy Corn/Son of Ethel And Nubbin Corn
