Maudlin Fountain

Maudlin (? Madeline) married Samuel STREET on 1 Nov 1684. She married (2) James Fountain; (3) Luke Hayes; (4) Dennis Higgins.

More research is warranted because she would have been in her 40s when she married James Fountain and possibly 20 years older than him, if the dates are correct.

She has been suggested to be the first wife of Lieutenant Samuel Street, who was married twice to Hannah Glover and Elizabeth Brown, beginning at least with Savage, and by others.

According to Early Families of Wallingford, she had three children with her first husband.

Samuel and Madeline had three children, all born in Wallingford:

1. Samuel, born Nov. 3, 1685

2. James, born Dec. 28, 1686; married Rebecca Scoville on Sept. 6 1731

3. Anna, born Aug. 28, 1688

James FOUNTAIN was born in 1681 in New London, New London, Connecticut. He died before 8 Jan 1710. He married Maudlin DANIEL about 1700.

They had the following children:

1. Judith FOUNTAIN was born on 5 Apr 1704 in Wallingford, Connecticut.
2. Maudlin FOUNTAIN was born on 26 May 1706 in Wallingford, Ct.
3. Magdeline FOUNTAIN.
