Beloit Daily News, Monday, 6 November 1972 DURAND - Max H. Talley, 54, of Durand, died Friday night in his home following a short illness. He was born Feb. 8, 1918, in Kingsley County, Iowa, the son of Walter and Eta Geiken Talley. He married Elizabeth Miller May 25, 1940, in Pipestone. Minn. Mr. Talley was a plumber for Durand Plumbing and Heating for nine years. Survivors include his wife; two daughters Mrs. Robert (Caroline) Peters and Mrs. Donald (Donna) Moore, both of Rockford; two sons, Howard of Durand and Walter, at home; his mother of Huron, S.D.; nine grandchildren; eight sisters, Mrs. Raymond Wulf, Mrs. Neva Raley, Mrs. Marion Becker, all of California; Mrs. Floyd Gulveising, Mrs. Harold Mitchell, both of Oregon; Mrs. Marvel Schuer of Pennsylvania; Mrs. Clarence Brass of South Dakota; Mrs. Joyce Martin of Wisconsin, and a brother, Royce of California and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tueday at Knapp Funeral Home, Pecatonica. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 today at the funeral home.
