I Maxfield Brown in the Parish of Hanover in the County of King George being very sick and weak but of good and perfect sense and memory thanks be to God do make this my Last Will & Testament in manner and form as followeth. First I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God by whom of his mercy and only free grace I set the whole and only hope of my Salvation, my body I commit to the earth to be buried in a decent manner. Items: Beginning with his eldest daughter, he bequeaths each of his following five daughters Five Shillings viz: Elizabeth Triplett, Frances Elkins, Charity Settler Martha Whiting and Sibella Lightburn. This is their full part of the testator's estate. Item: I do give and bequeath unto my two sons Newman Brown and George Brown all and every part of my estate which shall be remaining after my debts and legacies are paid, goods, chattels and appurtenances whatsoever to them the said Newman & George their heirs and assigns forever and do make constitute and appoint my said two sons Newman Brown & George Brown my whole and sole Executors of this my Last Will revoking and disannulling all former and other wills by me heretofore made ratifying and declaring this and no other to be my last will & Testament and in confirmation thereof have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this fourth day of June in the Year of our Lord 1745.
