Mehetabel Basset was born June 22d Ano Dom 1697 and died before 25 May 1754, on which date her husband Nathaniel remarried Abiah (Crane) Babbitt.

Mehatabel Bassitt, of Bridgewater, married (by Benjamin Ruggles) at Middleboro, Massachusetts 20 Jun 1733 Nathaniel Holloway fo Middleborough, (c 1702-bef. 1757).

Mehitable and Nathaniel had no children. Nathaniel had two children by his second wife, who were called his only heirs.[2]

5th Generation descendant of John Billington and 4th generation descandant of Francis Eaton.

Origins

Joseph Bassett’s 1735 will names the three daughters:

1. oldest, Bethia Bassett (named executor);
2. 2nd Mehetebell Holloway of Middleboro;
3. 3rd Lydia Phillips of Norton.[1]
