Marcy Young was daughter of Nathaniel & Mercy (Davis) Young. She was cousin to Priscilla Young, Joseph Smalley's first wife.

Note: Joseph Smalley married:

  • (1) Priscilla Young of Eastham, April 24,1718. She died April 1, 1719, perhaps giving birth to a child. Three months later Joseph Smalley married her cousin.
  • (2) Mercy Young of Eastham (not sister to Priscilla Young) on July 9, 1719. Mercy died August 2, 1733. six months later Joseph Smalley married
  • (3) Jane Cole, also of Eastham, May 16, 1734. Jane was the daughter of William and Hannah (Snow) Cole and aunt to Elisha, Cole Jr. (5, p. 246)[1]
