Michael Saporito

On behalf of my dad, this is his son Michael speaking to share some items about him. Simply put, he was a family man who loved my mom and us, and all of the family. He was a great conversationalist, and loved chanting and giving advice. He was a hard working individual who worked on a farm, then as a laborer, and eventually became the Secretary of Treasurer of the Rochester Labor Union (A positon he held until his untimely death due to a massive heart attack.), not to mention playing in a band as a drummer in Grandpa Castronova's pub on Goodman Street where he met my mother, Emma Castronova, and eventually married. He was extremely handy, and would try fixing almost anything; and, through perserverence would eventually do just that. A lot of people who knew my dad say I look just like him and am a lot like him. I don't know for sure; but, I am very proud to be his son.
