About Miles Goforth
One of the "Over the Mountain Boys" who fought at the Battle of King's Mountain in North Carolina during the Revolutionary War. He was paid to substitute for Isaac Roman, who had family obligations and couldn't go. Miles was shot in the leg just below the left kneecap.
