About Minnie Milks
Minnie was first found in the 1900 Census living in Bennington, IA with her parents and younger sister, Mabel. She married Friedrick Juergens in 1914 and had two sons. They divorced about 1919 as she was back with her parents for the 1920 census with her two boys in 1920 in Maxfield, IA. She must have married Hans Hansen shortly thereafter as their daughter, Ilene was born on 12/10/1921. The marriage did not last long as she married Herman Thoms on March 8, 1922. They were found in Maxfield, IA in the 1925 census with her 3 children. In the 1930 census she was living with Fred Thomas and had kids, Frederick, William, irene. Lottie, and Donald. The kids were all listed in that record as Juergens and she was still using that name, but they hadn't been together for 11 years, so it is a wild guess to know who the father is for daughter, Charlotte was born in 1927, then Donald in 1928 and Victor in 1930. She was still in Waterloo for the 1940 census and still listed as single. She had the 3 younger kids still at home with her. The name on the census in 1940 was Milko. I could not find them in the 1950 census, but on March 9, 1951 she married Lowell Berry and they were together until he died in 1973 and Minnie died in 1975.
