About Miriam Nesbitt
On April 20th, 1916, in between films, Marc began a new role as Miriam Nesbitt's permanent leading man on and off screen. They tied the knot in Leonia, New Jersey, where they had made several films on location. It was the first and only marriage for each; Miriam was 42 and Marc 34. The newlyweds rented an elegant apartment at 130 West 93rd Street and spent their honeymoon in New York. After his contract ended with Edison that summer, Marc wanted his new bride to quit show business and stay at home as a full-time wife. (Linda McDermott Walsh) Divorced in 1922.
