MORTON W. BACHRACH (Age 88)
Of Springfield, died on March 11, 2011 at Westminster Retirement in Woodbridge of natural causes.
He was born in Roanoke, graduated from Roanoke College, and earned a law degree and honorary doctorate from George Washington University. He lived in the Washington area since college.
Mr. Bachrach served as a Naval officer in the Pacific during WW2 and retired from both the Naval Reserve and US Civil Service after a career as an attorney. He was an avid tennis player and traveler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Fannie Bachrach. He was twice a widower, surviving wives Joyce and Carol.
Mr. Bachrach is survived by sons Mark of Woodbridge and Calvin of New Canton, VA, and grandchildren Michael, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Benjamin.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Hwy., Falls Church.
