NOTE: There are discrepancies in Moses' linkage to the family tree - see below:
Moses McCall was born in Irwin County, Georgia, a son of Jehu McCall and his wife Catherine Brown McCall. At this point in time little is known about Mr. McCall. Records show that he married Flora Dixon 6/30/1850, but it is not known if she was his only wife, or if she was the mother of those McCalls directly related to us.
Moses is known to have been a farmer in Lafayette County, Florida, his farm being situated on the Perry Road north of Mayo near the old Bob McCullers place. He is buried in the Riverside Baptist Church cemetery in Lafayette County.
A complete list of his children is not known at this point. It is, however, known that he had at least two sons: Hawk McCall and George Robert McCall, and three daughters, Lilla, Aida and Molly. (Molly McCall married John N. McCall, son of Francis H. McCall.)
