About Moses Schwarz
The family came to Palestine in 1935 from Borken Germany. Moses Schwarz was a wealthy cattle buyer and seller in Borken as he would travel to Eastern Europe and buy thin, under nourished cattle, bring them to Germany, fatten them up and sell them. He was very good at it. He managed to sell most of his assets in Germany and moved his family to Palestine before WW2. He bought some land near Afula Israel. it was near the moshav Kfar Gidon where he built a house on the land he bought and he even imported cattle from Holland for his farm. Unfortunately some of the cattle died because they came from cool climate in Europe to the brutal heat in Palestine.
