About Myron Eugene Gerber
ORRVILLE -- Myron E. Gerber, 87, of Orrville, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center.
Friends may call Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 2-3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Myron was born Aug. 27, 1928, in Benton, to Mervin and Laura (Troyer) Gerber, and married Mary Arlene Hill on June 9, 1958. She passed on Aug. 8, 2015.
Myron retired from Orrville Products, where he worked as a utility man for 32 years. He was a member of the Jelly City Breakers for many years. He loved bowling with his wife and he hauled Amish.
He will be deeply missed by children, Sharon (Don) Erwin of Delaware, Karen (Dave) Adams and Donald Gerber, both of Wooster, Randall (Tressa) Gerber of Hoschton, Ga., Ricky (Sharon) Gerber of Florida, Keith Gerber, Jerry Gerber, Peggy (Carl) Peppard and Cynthia Gerber, all of Orrville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Leonard (Elizabeth) Gerber of Killbuck, Thurman (Rosalie) Gerber and Garry (Jinny) Gerber, both of Dalton; and sisters, June Gerber of Orrville and Elsie Conrad of Litchfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years; a granddaughter, April Gerber; a grandson, David Peppard; his parents; and a sister, Pearl Gerber.
