Nannie Phillips Stewart Obit

Cumby, Texas, Dec. 14 --- Mrs. Willis A. Stewart, 89, died Tuesday at her residence nine miles northeast of here. She was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama, March 10, 1844, married to the late W. A. Stewart Dec 18, 1866, and they moved to Hopkins County in the spring of 1881.

Having lived in the county so long, more than fifty-two years, she was known to a large number of persons, many of whom attended her funeral. She is survived by fours sons, John, Jim, Andrew, and Ben, all of this county, and three daughters, Mrs. G. S. Prim of Sulphur Springs, Mrs. J. M. Young of this place, and Mrs. Andrew Prim of Tyler, all of whom were present at her funeral, with the exception of Mrs. Prim of Tyler.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Presbyterian Church of Oakland by the Rev. W. E. Graham of Greenville, assisted by the Rev. W. D. Johns of Miller Grove and the Rev. G. W. Jones of Cumby, with burial in Ridgeway Cemetery.
