Mrs. Nancy E. Bowser 63 who had been ill for the past seven weeks died last midnight at the home of her daughter, Alma, wife of William Adams, Johnstown, RD 2 Conemaugh Twp. Mrs. Bowser was the widow of Benjamin Franklin Bowser, who died 18 years ago. She was born in West Taylor Twp., a daughter of Philip and Martha (Bowser) Mitchell both deceased. Surviving are nine children--Isaac 381/2 Cooper Ave.; Emanuel and Benjamin, West Taylor Twp.; Nora, wife of N. E. Constable, Davidsville; Mrs. Alma Adams, mentioned: Melda wife of Harry Adams, Ipana, Ill' Thomas, Lower Yoder Twp; Angeline at home,and Pvt. Harry W with the Army in North Africa. Four children Mary, Daniel, Rose and Elda preceded Mrs. Bowser in death. She also leaves 15 grandchildren and four brothers and two sisters -- Jonathan and James Mitchell, West Taylor Twp. Albert, Morrell Pl William, Jackson Twp. Mrs. Elda Kaufman, Windber and Mrs. Elizabeth Kaufman, York. Friends may pay their respects at the Isaac Bowser home 381/2 Cooper Ave. the deceased was a member of the Bowserdale Evangelical Church, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon . In charge of Rev. J. M. Miller. Interment will be in the Benshoff Hill Cemetery under the direction of S. J. Conway.
