Naomi Segall

Naiomi (Noina?) had a brother, Ben Shimanovitz. There are several different spellings of his last name. Around 1918 he changed his last name, along with his wife Pauline (Perl originally) and children Jeanette and Sibbe (Sylvia) to Simmons. Ben's mother-in-law Sima Leah Goulka, nee Hakohen, lived with them in Milwaukee, then later moved with them to Chicago. Perhaps Naiomi's grandmother is Sarah Shimanowitz, Ben's mother?

In the 1930 census it says Sarah Simmons is his mother in law lives with them. Age 65, widowed, age at first marriage 24, language she speaks is Polish, immigration year 1922, does not speak English
