He moved from Virginia to Ohio, where he was a farmer. His son Jotham was born sometime around 1790, thus his birthdate was most likely in the 1760-1770 time frame. His father may have been named Henry. The Lyon family is said to have emigrated from England; Henry was one of the immigrants.
