Nathaniel Stowell, Jr.

Nathaniel was the son of Nathaniel Stowell (Sr.) and Margaret Trowbridge Stowell.

He married Lois Bugbee on May 21, 1761 in Pomfret. The couple had 11 children: Althea in 1762, Lois in 1764, Molly in 1765, Cyrus in 1767, Experience in 1769, Lois Bugbee in 1771, Clara in 1773, Hervey in 1775, Daniel in 1777, Cecelia in 1779 and Azel in 1782.

He was a farmer, moving from Pomfret to Peru about 1768.

He was elected town clerk in 1771 and was a member of the Congregational Church there.

Nathaniel was a private during the American Revolution who fought at the Battle of Bunker Hill.
