Timberlake, Nelda C.
Nelda C. Timberlake, died Tuesday, May 30, at Meadowcreek Nursing Home in San Angelo.
Born July 15, 1919 in Baylor County, she was the daughter of Floy Daisy and Guy Leonard Holmes. She graduated from Benjamin High School in 1936.
She married Charlie Timberlake on March 22, 1951 in Lubbock. She was a member at First Christian Church. She served as secretary of the Friendship Sunday school class and was a member of the World Outreach Committee.
She retired after working four years for W.D. Anderson and Sons in Midland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie, in 2000, her parents, her infant sister, Vera Helen, and her sister, Cathryn Holmes Feemster.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family wishes to express special thanks to her faithful caregivers Na Luna and Doris Brigman, special friends Mary Nell Reese, Bob Kiker and Elizabeth Purcell, and George and Dora Bullard.
Services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. today, June 3, at First Christian Church of Midland. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gilbert Hobbs, Mike Ryan, Tommy Fowler, Ronnie Feemster, Patrick Shannon and Sam Hanson. Honorary pallbearer will be Bob Kiker.
