About Nellie Baldwin
It seems that Nellie was Ellen and was the firstborn, given that her parents were married in 1877.

Ellen LONG (another of my relations) married William Thomas BALDWIN in
1877 in Bristol and had 7 children. William BALDWIN died in 1891 but the
family continued to run a Piano Shop in Stapleton Road up to and

were, Ellen, Gilbert (a teacher) Philip, Stephen, Grace, Lawrence &
Miriam all born in Bristol between 1878 and 1890. Ring any bells?
Hi Pat,
In 1935, in case you don't know, the number of the shop, the business was listed as Baldwin W.T., piano depot, 131 Stapleton Road, Bristol 5.
There was a Rt. BALDWIN at 425 Stapleton Road who may or may not have been a relative.
Philip Jas. BALDWIN was at 47 Ashgrove Road, Horfield who may be a match for the Philip above.
There was a Lawrence BALDWIN, auctioneer and accountant for Chas. A. TRICKS & Son whose residence was 22 Harcourt Road, Redland.

Her son's book of sermons was dedicated to her, namely:
Collected sermons in the Anglican Church published by his widow on his death.

Aunty Nellie was a daughter of the Baldwin family who manufactured pianos and had a piano shop in Stapleton Road not far from No 54. "Baldwin" pianos are still being made but I do not know whether the present firm is any connection of the family.
Aunty was a schoolteacher before she married ... She lived to the ripe old age of 103!
