Nicholas Alan Samuel, 5th Viscount Bearsted was born on 22 January 1950.1 He is the son of Peter Montefiore Samuel Samuel, 4th Viscount Bearsted and Hon. Elizabeth Adelaide Cohen.1 He married Caroline Jane Sacks, daughter of Dr. David Sacks, on 30 January 1975.1,2

He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Samuel [U.K., 1903] on 9 June 1996.3 He succeeded to the title of 5th Viscount Bearsted, of Maidstone, co. Kent [U.K., 1925] on 9 June 1996.3 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baron Bearsted, of Maidstone, co. Kent [U.K., 1921] on 9 June 1996.3 He lived in 1999 at 9 Acacia Road, London, England.2
