Nikifor Papadopol

Nikifor Papadopol, a ship captain of Greek nationality, met in 1825 princess Eufrosina, his future wife, while she was coming back from exile traveling on his ship, four years after the death, also in exile, of her father, Prince of Moldova Scarlat Callimachi. She was accompanied by her mother and siblings. Due to maternal opposition, she married Nikifor Papadopol when she became of legal age.
