About Norman Clark Lewis
He entered the U.S. Army (ASN 32813463) on March 1, 1943, and was stationed at Fort Stewartm Georgia before going overseas on July 16, 1944, serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations, with duty on Iwo Jima. While stationed in GA, Norman met and became friends with Troy Parkman from Nahunta, and on occasions would visit Troy's family. On one of those visits he met Emma Carolyn Smith, whom he would marry after the war.
