

Norman G. Massey, 76, of 650 Lehigh Ave., died at 5:30 a.m. today in the Lancaster General Hospital following an illness of one year. He was a former streetcar operator and later became a bus driver for the Conestoga Transportation Co. when the trolleys were removed. He and his wife, Lillie M. Henry Massey, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on Jan 1. He was born in Mount Nebo, Martic Township, the son of the late Joseph and Annie Galen Massey, and was a resident of Lancaster for the past 50 years. He was a member of the Broad Street Methodist Church of Lancaster for more than 40 years, a member of the Men's Bible Class, and a charter member of the official board of the church. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Norman G. of Lancaster; four daughters, Valeria, wife of Edward H. Johns; Minerva, wife of Harry Wise; Marguerite, wife of H. Neal Knotwell, all of Lancaster; and Helen, wife of the Rev. John A. Yarborough, of Pleasant Valley; one sister, Mrs. Flora Shue of Mountville; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
