About ? Nyman
From the of copies of Frederick’s service records. According to the records, he was in the Army Service Corps and was residing or working in Eastbourne when he enlisted there. He states he was born in Pimlico, London.
His age is given as 19 years and 6 months, and this was in July 1889 when he enlisted. This doesn’t quite fit with the age listed in the 1891 census, which was also 19 years. So it looks like there is still a possible birth date range of 1870 – 1872.
His next of kin given was his sister, Annie Stevens, Bishops Road, London.
He says on his enlistment that he had been an apprentice for a Mr. McRitchie for 3 years in London – his occupation at the time of enlistment was a draper’s assistant
