Obadiah was a farmer and carpenter by trade. They moved from Tolland County, CN in 1780. He was in the 16th and 17th Albany, NY Regiment during the American Revolution. He served as a minuteman and home guard during the revolution.
On Obadiah's tombstone in Cambridge is written the following:
What though in age, I leave my wife and all the joys of human life Grieve not my friends to see me die for so must you as well as I
Life is a flower that soon will fade and death a debt that must be paid Farewell, my friends, your grief refrain When Christ appears, we'll meet again
Obadiah Culver was a Revolutionary Soldier in the 16th Albany County Militia
