Ola Paulsson Lillenes

Ole was living at Gjerdesøen (Etne) when he married Anna Marie on 14 June 1878. The marriage was held at Fitjar, though. He is listed on the marriage record as an "Agronom." This means "Agronomist" (expert in field-crop production and soil management). Ola emmigrated to the United States with his brother, Andreas Poulsen Lillenes. They left Norway on 19 May 1886 on an "Allan Linie" ship. In the emmigration record on digitalarkivet.no, Ola's name is listed as Ole Poulsen Lillen'e6s. Ola's wife, Anna Johansdatter Lillenes, came to the United States one year later with their three children (Poul Olsen, Johannes Olsen, and Haldor Olsen). They left Norway on 29 April 1887 on an Allan Linie ship. The emmigration record has some small errors. For example, Ola's birth year is listed as 1855, but he was actually born in 1854.
