About Ole Halvorsen
Ole was a gunsmith and a hunter, and was not particularly interested in farming. He thus sold his farm to Peder and John Breivig from Romsdalen. After selling the farm, he moved a little further up the valley to the farm Sætermo, to one of his sons. Ole Halvorsen's father was Halvor Johnsen. He was the first to receive permission to clear the land and create the farm at Finnfjordeidet in 1820. Halvor Johnson originally came from Ringsaker, north of Oslo.
