Servant of the 2nd Earl of Bedford.

Biography Of an old Cornish family, Carminowe spent some years before succeeding to his estates as a servant of the 2nd Earl of Bedford, who brought him into Parliament for the newly enfranchised St. Mawes in 1563. In 1572 he was returned for his local borough of Truro, which his father had represented in 1563, and in 1586 he was returned for another local borough. He made no mark in the House. He was fined for piracy in 1578, and in the last year of his life was summoned before the Privy Council, perhaps on a similar charge. Carminowe was buried at St. Michael Penkivel 23 Dec. 1597.
