Osa Blanche 'Ocie' Ashby

Ocie Ashby Mrs. Ocie Westfall Ashby, 96, a resident of the West Virginia Masonic Home, Parkersburg, died Aug. 23, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg.

Mrs. Ashby was born May 1, 1906, at Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Homer and Esther Strader Westfall.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clarksburg and Queen Esther No. 11, Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two brothers, Dennis Westfall of Bellview, Fla, and Carol Westfall of Pittsburgh; and several nieces, nephews and cousins, including Paul Westfall and his wife, Eleanor of Parkersburg.

Mrs. Ashby was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Ashby in 1997; one brother; and five sisters.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. Ressie Westfall Robison officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, W.Va. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home
