NOTES FROM FIND A GRAVE: from Jon K. Myran (Oscar Myran's grandson):
Served in WWI in Company F, 111th Infantry, 28th Division, Second Army Corps.
Reported to Camp Lewis, WA on May 25, 1918. Arrived in France on August 20, 1918. Saw action in Meuse-Argonne Offensive from September 26 to October 7 and in Thiacourt Sector from October 15 to November 11, 1918. He departed Europe on April 18, 1919 at 6 o'clock aboard the USS Kroonland and arrived in New York City on April 29, 1919.
Farmed family farm. Owned gas station in Hawley. He took over as manager of the Farmers Elevator in Hawley on July 1, 1922. Worked as a carpenter. Worked at a shipyard in Vancouver, WA during WWII.
