About Otto W Everett
Otto W. Everett, of Graysville, died at his home Friday, Nov. 13, 1998. He was 76.
Born Oct. 22, 1922, in Bledsoe County, Mr. Everett was the son of Robert W. and Annie (Hancock) Everett. He lived in Battle Creek, Mich., for 40 years until moving to Graysville in 1979. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in road construction in Michigan. Mr. Everett was a World War II veteran having served in the European Theatre. He was a member of the VFW in Athens, Mich., and American Legion Post #100 in Dayton. He attended Graysville United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters and one granddaughter. Otto was an avid fisherman and an avid coon, fox and rabbit hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia (Kline) Everett of Graysville; three sons, Mack Everett of Graysville, Cecil Everett of Colon, Mich., Philip Everett of Graysville; daughter, Beverly Everett of Graysville; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, in the chapel of Vanderwall Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Norman and Rev. Jim Hillian officiating. Interment followed in Rhea Memory Gardens in Dayton. Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton was in charge of arrangements.
