About Otto Crist Von Lintel

Otto Crist VonLintel, age 82, of Hays, Kansas passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 in Hays.

He was born November 1, 1935 in Victoria, Kansas to Henry and Clementine (Dreher) VonLintel.

He married Rita Sander on June 24, 1956 in St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Victoria.

Otto worked in the oilfield as a pumper for various area oilfield companies for most of his working career. He also farmed for many years as well. In his retirement he continued to work on oil wells. He was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Church in Hays. He enjoyed fishing and being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rita of the home in Hays; a grandson, Kenneth Andrew-Jay VonLintel; a daughter-in-law, Sue Taylor of Hays; and two sisters, Katie Pfannenstiel of Hays and Joan Murta of St. Charles, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenneth C. VonLintel on Sept. 1, 1986; 5 brothers and 13 sisters.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Nicholas of Myra Church.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, March 26, 2018 at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church in Hays. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 6 PM - 8 PM with a combined parish vigil and rosary at 7 PM all at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
