While serving time, married Catherine Leeson at St John's Church Parramatta on 28-7-1823.
On the death of his wife - Catherine in 1842, he remarried in the same year to Maria Robinson at St Bede's Church - Appin. Had seven children.
Became a constable and lock-up keeper of Appin
An article in the Sydney Gazette - May 30th 1831 - states that Owen Laraghy was dismissed for highly inproper conduct. See link below.
