About Patience Baughman

Henry, Jr., married Patience, daughter of William Owsley, of Lincoln County (born 1784, died 1843) and to them were born Hamilton, William O., Rebecca (Shanks), Jacob, John, Henry, Samuel O., Nancy (Dunn), Nudiget O., and Joel T. Joel T. Baughman was married July 19, 1849, to Miss Sallie, daughter of Isaac and Cyrena (Wooly) Dunn, of Garrard County, born February 20, 1833, and having no children of their own they have reared John T. Baughman, Cyrena M. Craig and Lizzie S. Dunn.
Mr. [Joel] Baughman is a farmer, owning 279 acres of well improved land. In 1884 he was elected superintendent of common schools of Garrard County, and in 1886 was re-elected to the same position for a term of four years. Mr. Baughman is a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and in politics is identified with the Democratic party. He lost ten valuable slaves as a result of the late war.
