Patricia Helen Bacorn

Patricia Helen Bacorn, age 80, of Overton, PA passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital in Towanda, PA after a brief illness.

Patricia was born January 23, 1935 a daughter of the late Joseph Stephen Bailey and Helen Marie Beeman Bailey. She graduated from the Albany Valley High School. She began working at Rynveld’s Son’s Corporation in New Albany and later worked at Sullcraft Mfg. Co. in Dushore, PA. After raising her family she was employed as a C.N.A. at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte from which she retired after many years of service.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Church of Christ in Overton. She most enjoyed her grandchildren, and acted as a care giver for her grandson, Buddy. He also enjoyed gardening and feeding her birds, and her extensive collection of Cardinals.

Surviving: Four sons, one daughter, one brother and two sisters, two brother in laws, and one sister in law

Also ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

She was predeceased by her husband, Russell Bacorn Sr.; a daughter, Michelle Bacorn Fry; a great grandson: Austin Chestnut; two brothers Lonnie Bailey, Alan Bailey, and two sisters: Alice Gayle Lewis, and Saundera Fetherbay, and a sister-in-law, Sandy Bailey.

Funeral Services will be Friday, February 27th, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Ronald L. Dyer, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Friends may call on Thursday, February 26th, 2015 at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
