"Patrick Barclay, Baron of Towie, who was seized as son and heir to his father on precept from Chancery, 21st April 1515. He granted letters of slains (remission), together with some other Barclays, his cousins, to Sir James Chrichton of Frendraught, for making an onset upon himself, and killing his near kinsman, Gilbert Barclay, dated 21st September 1518. On 24th January 1536-7, he was seized of the lands of Seggat. The Baron died before 12th April 1559."
