Patrick Rattray, of Craighall, who, upon his own resignation, got a charter under the great seal from Charles I., dated 28 Feb. 1G48, of the lands of Craighall, Kynballock, &c, containing a Novedamus, and erecting them into a free barony, to be called Craighall Rattray, in all time coming. He m. Anne Drummond, dau. of John, second Lord Maderty, and had, with a dau., m. to Ogilvie of Balfour, a son and successor, James Ratthay, of Craighall...
