A graveside service for Paul August Jacobi, 90, of Chesterfield, Va., formerly of New Albany, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, Va., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, at New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Richmond Va. He died Sept. 2, 2010.

He served in the U.S. Army for 36 years. His rank at time of retirement was Chief Warrant Officer. He was a dedicated member and Elder Emeritus of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, served for more than 40 years with Toastmasters International holding the highest honor of Distinguished Toastmaster and was a charter member of the M. Stanley Ryan Unit of Parliamentarians, being the first recipient of the Virginia State Association of Parliamentarians Lifetime Achievement Award.

Survivors include his sisters, Pauline Anderson and Ann Dunn; grandchildren, Jeffrey Michael Jacobi, Erika Star Jacobi and Dawn Michelle Jacobi.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jessie Lee Jacobi and his son, Michael Paul Jacobi.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 6415 Iron Gate Drive, Richmond, Va., 23234 or floral offerings may be sent to the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, Richmond, Va., 23234.

JACOBI, Paul August, 90, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jesse Lee Jacobi and his son, Michael Paul Jacobi. He is survived by his sisters, Pauline Anderson and Ann Dunn; grandchildren, Jeffrey Michael Jacobi, Erika Star Jacobi and Dawn Michelle Jacobi.
