Penelope Gynne Eden

Penelope Glynne Eden (née Wilmot Sitwell), died 16 February, 2009, aged 105. Scion of the Wilmot-Sitwell LG family of Stainsby, she was b circa 1903, 2nd dau of Hervery Wheler Sitwell, of The Manor, Leamington Hastings, Warwicks; and married (1) Lieutenant-Colonel John Garmondsway Temple, late the Royal Artillery; & married (2) 8 Apr, 1957, Brig. Henry Charles Hamilton Eden, CBE, MC (b 12 Mar 1889; d 17 Nov 1963), scion of the Eden Baronets (later Earls of Avon (ext) and Baron Eden of Winton (Lifer) . Much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Penelope's stepson, Captain Robert John Pulleine Eden, who was b 16 February 1920, married 1947, the Hon. Rosemary Winifred Vivian, b 4 June 1927, dau of the 3rd Baron Swansea.
