About Pepi Reich (Lovi Hahn)
References updated to include Grave Stone details (Tom Reisner 1 June 2022)
There is some confusion about the correct surname for Markusz, Roza Reich’s (my G-mother) G-Father. In some records his surname is shown in the first line (Hahn, then the word recte which means Right) and on the second line (Lovi). In his original birth record, his name is Markusz Lowy and his parents are Guttman Lowy and Rosina Kahn.
The opinion is that, his parents only had a Religious Wedding. While the correct name was Lowy, some of the registrars wanted to keep using the mother's name and therefore added in the Kahn (Hahn) name in the later records. (Stephen Schmideg discussions July 2017).
To keep some uniformity this Note is being added to every record involving Markusz direct decedents for several generations, for example Lowy may become Lovi and Kahn may become Hahn.
