Peter G. Carney
Peter G. Carney, 79, 513 Neale St., died at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital this morning, following an extended illness.
He was born in Jackson County, WVA, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse A. Carney and had spent the greatest part of his life in Parkersburg and Wood County. He was a retired employee of the American Viscore Corp.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Charles L. Carney, Vero Beach, Fla., a sister Mrs. Nancy King, Parkersburg; six grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, 408 Seventh Street, Parkersburg, W.Va., with the Rev. H. G. Schwegler officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
