Peter Cowenover, III

  Peter Covenover was born circa 1690. He was born circa 1696 at Great Egg Harbor, Atlantic County, New Jersey. He was the son of Peter Cownover and Mary (Unknown). Peter married Elizabeth (Unknown) in 1711/12. Peter's estate was proved on 21-Aug-1730.

He was a large land owner in Great Egg Harbor Township and had one of the original surveys on Absecon Beach (now Atlantic City) for one hundered acres dated May 20, 1729. In his will dated June 26, 1730, he mentioned his wife, four sons, and two daughters. His wife and his brother John wer appointed executors and the witnesses were Samuel Huested and John Watts.
