Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette Friday, Jan. 8, 1965 Deaths and Funerals: PETER S. ERNST Peter S. Ernst, 84, of 2921 Freeman St., died at 11:55 a.m. yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital where he had been a patient since Dec. 4. He had been ill two and one-half years. Born in Fort Wayne, he retired as a maintenance man for the Park Board. Mr. Ernst was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. Survivors include two sons, Robert, San Diego, and Clovis, Cedarville; six daughters, Mrs. Agnus Harber, with whom he resided, Mrs. Beatrice Winstel, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Rosemary Dorgan, Brunswick, Ga.; Mrs. Joan Lents, Hartford City, and Mrs. Corrinne Stitt and Mrs. Rita Monroe of Fort Wayne; 23 grand-children; and eight great-grand-children. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Mungovan & Sons Mortuary and at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Rev. Matthew J. Lange officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday. The Holy Name Society will have services at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Sunday.
