Peter Garvey

Peter first shows up in the New World in the1860 Census for the11th Ward Baltimore City, Baltimore, Maryland. He is 19 years old and is living in the household of James Garvey, but since his birthplace is shown as Ireland and he was not listed in the 1850 Census with James, we can assume that he is not James' son. He is shown here as a nephew, son of a hypothetical brother of James who did not emigrate. In the 1870 Census Peter and James are living next door to each other.

Naturalized in Baltimore, MD in 1870.
